Chief Functionaries and Trustees

Chief Functionaries

Dr Shalini Malhotra – Founder Director

She holds a doctorate in Environmental Studies and started this initiative with the belief that educating children and helping them grow to understand and appreciate their environment was as important as working on its conservation. Coming from a family which has been successfully targeting the same goalpost for the last many years, this route was almost an obvious choice. Also, being a believer of the importance of good health in helping one realize ones dreams, she included health facilities as a part of the project. She considers herself to be truly blessed to be able to come across people with similar ideologies and walk along with them as NeeV Team towards a common goal of education and good health for all.

Ms Sadhna Lal – Operations Head

She is a seasoned IT professional with a Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) and 16 years of experience in the industry. During her career, she held senior management positions in various multinational corporations (MNCs). After achieving great success in her IT career, Sadhna chose to voluntarily retire to follow her true calling in the social sector. Although she has not formally been a teacher, she is a passionate educationist dedicated to providing quality basic education for all children. Sadhna co-founded NeeV, a learning center, where she plays an active role in shaping and enhancing educational opportunities for children.

Bharat Memorial Charitable Trust (BMCT) was set up by Dr. Kesho Ram Gupta and his wife Mrs. Santosh Gupta in the fond memory of their only son – Bharat. The trust  registered in the year 1997 in Panchkula, Haryana, has been providing scholarships to meritorious students in various professional fields. Additionally, it also organises medical camps, cricket matches, startup micro loans (seed funds) to young entrepreneurs, supporting homes for the homeless and financing artificial limbs.

Presently catering to the underprivileged population of the ‘Millennium City’, we hope to spread this initiative to other parts of the country as well.
